Who can attend the Rotary International Convention?
Registration is open to Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, alumni, Youth Exchange students, club and district employees, and spouses of deceased Rotarians. Guests can also attend at the appropriate fee. See the registration fees for all eligible attendees.
When can I pick up my badge?
Registration at the Georgia World Congress Center begins Wednesday, 7 June. If you registered and paid in advance, you can pick up your badge at the airport in the north, south, or international terminals or at several hotels (Hyatt Regency Atlanta Downtown, Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center, Hilton Atlanta, Atlanta Marriott Marquis). Are interpretation services available at the convention?
Rotary provides interpretation in several languages for the opening ceremony, general sessions, and closing ceremony. Some breakout sessions may also be offered in other languages. Refer to your program book to see which sessions are available in your language.
What is the temperature in Atlanta in June?
In June, average temperatures range from 63-88 degrees Fahrenheit (17-31 degrees Celsius). For the most current weather, check the Weather Channel.
Because the venue will be air conditioned, you may wish to bring a light jacket or sweater.
How do I register?
If you are attending preconventions only (Rotaract, Youth Exchange Officers, or Presidential Peace Conference), email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
When does registration for the Atlanta convention end?
You can register online or at the convention through 14 June. Find onsite registration hours.
What are the registration fees?
Through 14 June, the registration fee is $490 for Rotarians and adult guests; $130 for Rotaractors and alumni; $10 for Interactors, Youth Exchange students, and children ages 5-18; and free for children younger than 5.

How do I reserve a hotel room?
You can get the best value in Atlanta by booking your hotel through Experient, Rotary’s official housing partner.
If you prefer to reserve your hotel by mail or fax, download the individual hotel reservation form and submit it by 11 May (limited availability after this date). Reservations are not accepted by email.

How do I change my hotel reservation, such as my arrival or departure dates?
You can change your reservation by going to the official Rotary International hotel reservation site. Select “Attendee” or “Group attendee” and click the Sign In button in the upper-right corner on the next screen. Enter your email address and the password you created when you booked your reservation to pull up your hotel.

What hotels are available and what are the rates?

Do I need to pay a deposit for my room?
No, but you’ll be asked to provide credit card details to guarantee your reservation. The credit card must be valid through June 2017, and your credit card information will be sent to the hotel with your reservation details in May. Reservations cannot be guaranteed without a credit card.
Group bookings of 15 or more rooms have a separate deposit policy. Please see our group housing form for details.
How do I cancel my reservation?
Select “Attendee” or “Group attendee” and click the Sign In button in the upper-right corner on the next screen. Enter your email address and the password you created when you booked your reservation to pull up your hotel. Select the cancel icon.

Which hotels are on a shuttle route to the convention center?
The convention transportation guide includes a map of the shuttle routes and a list of the hotels on or near them. It's also available on the Rotary Events app. Rotary’s official convention hotels in Atlanta’s Buckhead, Midtown, and downtown areas will have shuttle service to and from the Georgia World Congress Center. Official convention hotels at the airport and in the Atlanta Perimeter area will have shuttle service to a nearby MARTA bus or rail station. Rotary will provide MARTA passes to registrants not on the shuttle route.
How far from the convention center is my hotel?
You can find an area map on the official Rotary International hotel reservation site. Choose Attendee and view the map at the bottom of the page. Click the pin that marks your hotel. If it’s served by the shuttle, you’ll see a bus symbol. Click in to find your hotel’s distance from the Georgia World Congress Center.
How do I obtain a visa for travel to the convention?

Should I be concerned about the new restrictions on travel to the U.S.?
Restrictions on travel to the U.S. that were announced earlier this year would prevent entry by people traveling under passports from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. As of 3 May, however, these restrictions are not in effect.
Even so, the rules for entry may change. Check the U.S. Department of State website for the latest information.
What is the VAT, and do I have to pay the tax in Atlanta?
Atlanta has no value-added tax.
What events can I attend at the convention?
The convention registration fee includes:
- Opening ceremonies: 11 June
- General sessions: 12-4 June
- Breakout sessions: 12-14 June
- Closing ceremony: 14 June
- House of Friendship: 10-14 June
You can purchase tickets for:
- Rotary-ticketed events. These typically take place at the convention venue, either before or during the convention.
- Host-ticketed events. These generally take place away from the convention venue.
Are tours of Atlanta available?
Host-ticketed events include two tours that focus on the topics of peace and polio. Check the site for ticket availability. No general tours of Atlanta or the region are offered by Rotary.
