HVV (Hamburger Verkehrsverbund), the local public transit system, will be the main mode of transportation during the convention. It is an extensive bus, rail, and ferry network that makes travel throughout Hamburg easy.

Attendees will be required to use their convention badges as substitutes for tickets. The badges are valid beginning Friday, 31 May through Thursday, 6 June 2019.

Download the HVV rail system map and  use your convention badge for travel anywhere within the gray circle on the map. Most public transportation options run between the hours of 05:00 and 23:00.

Download the most current transit directions from the hotels to the convention center. NOTE: Any directions downloaded prior to 14 February 2019 are invalid.

Both the Sternschanze and Messehallen stations are located on the grounds of the Hamburg Messe, the convention venue. They are highlighted in yellow on the system map. The U3 train serves Sternschanze, which is the main train station that’s closest to registration and the House of Friendship. The U2 train serves the Messehallen station, located between Buildings A&B.
